เครื่องสูบน้ำรุ่นนี้เป็นเครื่องสูบน้ำหอยโข่งใบพัดเดียวชนิดไม่หล่อน้ำด้วยตัวเอง มีช่องทางดูดเป็นแนวขนานกับแกนเพลา (axial suction port) ส่วนช่องทางจ่ายเป็นแนวรัศมี (radial discharge port) และมีเพลาแนวนอน (horizontal shaft) เครื่องสูบน้ำกรุนด์ฟอสรุ่น NK/NKG เป็นเครื่องชนิด long-coupled ที่ตรงตามมาตรฐาน EN733 หรือ ISO2858 เครื่องรุ่นนี้ได้รับการออกแบบมาให้ถอดชิ้นส่วนได้จากด้านหลัง (back pull-out design) ช่วยให้ถอดมอเตอร์ ข้อต่อ bearing bracket และใบพัดได้โดยไม่ต้องรื้อเรือนปั๊มหรืองานท่อน้ำต่างๆ
The Grundfos NK/NKG range comprises a complete series of long-coupled pumps that comply fully with either EN733 or ISO2858. The pumps are of the back pull-out design, enabling removal of the motor, coupling, bearing bracket and impeller without disturbing the pump housing or pipework. Even the largest pumps can thus be serviced by one person with a crane. The ISO2858 range of pumps are available with a bearing life of 100,000 hours, and can be fitted with double seals. They available in a stainless steel version as an option.
