Cornell’s cutter pump solutions were created to address the urgent need of reducing clogging due to ragging. With the increased use of ‘flushable’ materials and extraneous cleaning products, the issue of clogging leading to downtime, pump destruction, and pipe damage, has increased markedly. The Grundfos NK/NKG range comprises a complete series of long-coupled pumps that comply fully with either EN733 or ISO2858. The pumps are of the back pull-out design, enabling removal of the motor, coupling, bearing bracket and impeller without disturbing the pump housing or pipework. Even the largest pumps can thus be serviced by one person with a crane. The ISO2858 range of pumps are available with a bearing life of 100,000 hours, and can be fitted with double seals. The basic CR pump range is available in four different materials: cast iron, two grades of stainless steel and titanium. The S pumps have their unique feature, the SmartTrim impeller clearance adjustment system and the Smart Seal for leakage prevention and The Grundfos SmartSeal Auto-coupling gasket provides a completely leak-proof connection between the pump and the base unit of the auto-coupling system.
